Credit is an important factor when purchasing items that require loans and payments over time - cars, homes, credit cards, etc. As a new U.S. resident, you are starting without any credit, and building strong credit - by paying your bills on time, for instance - will take time. We’ve shared some tips for building credit, and you can find them at this link.
Because you do not yet have credit, we have partnered with two organizations that assist our nurses with the car buying process, and each has their own benefits.

Advancial Credit Union
Advancial is a credit union that works specifically with individuals who are coming to the U.S. without credit and provide reasonable interest rates for car loans. Reasonable interest rates can be hard to find when you have yet built credit, so our nurses find Advancial as a great long term option.
Advancial is a credit union, so it can serve as a one-stop shop for our nurses. You can open savings and checking accounts, receive credit cards, and, if you decide to purchase a home at some point in the future, a home loan.
Get started with Advancial by contacting their branch in Katy, Taxes. When you do, let them know you are an Interstaff nurse.

International Auto Source
International Auto Source also works specifically with individuals who are new to the States and do not have credit. While you wait for your new car to arrive to you, International Auto Source provides you with a complimentary rental car, so you can get on the road immediately, a big benefit.
Find out more about International Auto Source on their website: https://go.intlauto.com/expat-program.html.
Get started with them by contacting Matthew Lepkowsky, the representative who works specifically with our nurses.
