Nurses House is a national organization dedicated to helping Registered Nurses in need. Nurses House offers assistance with housing expenses and medical expenses to RNs who are seriously ill, injured, disabled or facing other dire circumstances.
The National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) mission is “to serve as the voice for Black nurses and diverse populations ensuring equal access to professional development, promoting educational opportunities and improving health.” NBNA chapters offer voluntary hours providing health education and screenings to community residents in collaboration with community-based partners, including faith-based organizations, civic, fraternal, hospitals, and schools of nursing.
MacMillan Cancer Support acts as an online information hub and support service for healthcare professionals working with cancer patients and their families. They do this by providing free cancer information booklets as well as a variety of emotional and financial support options for healthcare workers and their patients.
The National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA) is a nonprofit organization for students enrolled in associate, baccalaureate, diploma, and generic graduate nursing programs. It is dedicated to fostering the professional development of nursing students. Its mission is to bring together and mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs.
